Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data Grupo Unity's website collects, what it is used for, who it is shared with and how you can exercise the rights provided by Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Lei 13.709/2018).

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Scope

This policy applies to the unity.com.br website, in both its Portuguese and English versions, and to the data submitted through the contact and ombudsman forms available on it.

What data we collect

We only collect the data you enter in the forms and the technical data needed for the website to work.

  • Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), subject and message.
  • Ombudsman form: name, email, phone, company, area or site involved, report type, relationship with Unity, preferred reply channel, description of the report and request for confidential handling, when provided.
  • Browsing data: technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, processed by the hosting infrastructure and by audience measurement and security tools.

How we use the data

  • To reply to your message and route your request to the right technical team.
  • To receive, investigate and respond to reports submitted to the ombudsman.
  • To keep the website secure, available and working properly.
  • To measure the website's audience in aggregate, to understand which content is most useful.

Legal bases

Processing is carried out under the legal bases of Article 7 of the LGPD, in particular the performance of preliminary procedures requested by you, compliance with legal or regulatory obligations, and Grupo Unity's legitimate interest in maintaining and improving its service channels.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Messages submitted through the forms are delivered by email to Grupo Unity's institutional mailboxes and accessed only by the people responsible for replying or for investigating the report.

The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which also sends the emails generated by the forms and provides the audience measurement and security tools. These providers act as processors and may process data on servers located outside Brazil, under Article 33 of the LGPD.

Data may also be shared with public authorities when required by law or by court order.

Storage and retention

The website does not keep a database of the information submitted through the forms: it is received as email in Grupo Unity's institutional mailboxes. Data is kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use cookies and similar technologies through the audience measurement and security tools mentioned above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, bearing in mind that this may affect some features.

Your rights

Under Article 18 of the LGPD, you may request from Grupo Unity:

  • Confirmation that your data is being processed, and access to it.
  • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed in breach of the law.
  • Portability of your data to another service provider.
  • Information about the entities with which your data has been shared.
  • Withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on it.

How to exercise your rights

Send your request through the Ombudsman page, selecting the "Privacy and personal data" report type, or by email to [email protected]. You may also file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Security

The website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and form submissions are delivered directly to institutional mailboxes, with access restricted to the people responsible for handling them.
